Report: Manchester United will not sign Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi
Speculation surrounding Nicolas Otamendi's potential move to Manchester United can reportedly be laid to rest.
United will not be signing the Argentinian centre-back from Valencia and the club has never been interested in doing so, according to Sky Sports - countering allegations from a Spanish television station, which claimed it had seen legal documents confirming the transfer was about to take place.
Otamendi returned to training with Valencia at the end of July, even though his representative, Eugenio Lopez, told Cadena SER his client was looking to leave the Mestalla Stadium, and that there were "a lot of conversations with clubs" keen to sign the 27-year-old.
