Ex-Liverpool forward Ryan Babel hurls sexist insults at female fan on Twitter

Former Liverpool attacker Ryan Babel, now playing for Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates, could be in trouble after telling a Twitter user she should focus on "growing some tits" after she questioned his dislike of Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez.

Babel was signed from Ajax in 2007 by Benitez, and won the club's best young player award in his first season in Anfield. He eventually left for Hoffenheim in 2011, with Liverpool taking a significant loss on him, but Babel has maintained that he's a supporter of the club.

When a Twitter user asked about his relationship with Benitez on Friday, he told her she "should concentrate on growing some tits instead of speaking about football," then refused to "argue with a girl about football."

He also suggested he would only indulge in a football debate with a male.

Babel is no stranger to getting himself into trouble on Twitter. After Liverpool lost 1-0 to Manchester United in 2011, Babel was fined by the Football Association for mocking up a picture of referee Howard Webb in a United shirt.

The 28-year-old hasn't featured for the Dutch team since 2011.
