Arsenal's Jack Wilshere suffers setback, will remain sidelined
Jack Wilshere's return to the Arsenal squad will have to wait after the midfielder suffered a setback during his recovery from a hairline fracture to his left fibula.
Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the 23-year-old will miss the weekend clash with Stoke City following the discovery of the setback, and did not announce a timetable for Wilshere's return.
"I have not seen Jack in the last two or three days," Wenger told reporters. "He is progressing slowly. It is slower than expected as I expected him to be back and available after the break, but unfortunately he will not be available for Saturday. He had a little setback and I have to know about it but I can’t tell you much more as I have no medical information."
Wilshere sustained the injury during a training ground collision, and has yet to appear in Arsenal's first four Premier League matches.
