Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat and sporting director Lee Congerton will leave the club after Saturday's match against West Ham United, according to the Guardian.
Advocaat was cagey about his future in the pregame conference, and now Congerton is reportedly disillusioned with the complex politics and miscommunication behind the scenes, as well as chairman Ellis Short's elusive chequebook.
Congerton, a chief scout at Chelsea and technical director at Hamburg, has been at the club for a year and a half, and first felt undermined during previous manager Gustavo Poyet's reign.
Despite Congerton's expertise in the field, Short sanctioned moves for Liam Bridcutt, Will Buckley, and Ignacio Scocco at Poyet's request, and all have been unequivocal flops.
