Dick Advocaat reportedly managed his last fixture at the Stadium of Light.

The Dutch manager said goodbye to his players at Sunderland and flew to the Netherlands as his time with the club has come to an end, according to Sky Sports.

Prior to Sunderland's 2-2 draw versus West Ham United on Saturday, it was reported that Advocaat, along with sporting director Lee Congerton, would be leaving the club after the match.

The 68-year-old said postgame he reached a decision on his future after Sunderland, who are still searching for its first win of the Premier League season, but refused to disclose details.

Advocaat was appointed the team's manager in March. He stepped down at the end of the season but pulled a U-turn in June, signing a one-year contract with the club after Congerton and chairman Ellis Short convinced him to stay.
