PHOTO: Marco Amelia and agent spotted celebrating Chelsea contract

Former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia looks set for a switch to Stamford Bridge after he and his agent, Federico Pastorello, were photographed smiling side-by-side in celebration of a contract with Chelsea.

"Dinner with #marcoamelia to celebrate the contract with @chelseafc !!! Good luck !!" Pastorello wrote as the photo's caption.

Amelia was linked with the Blues after Jose Mourinho lost his starting goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, to a long-term injury. Asmir Begovic has stepped in as the new No. 1, but without a suitable backup, Chelsea could be in a spot of trouble if Begovic also picks up an injury or suspension.

Most official moves would need to be completed in January, upon the opening of the winter transfer window. However, since Amelia is a free agent, he could join the Blues immediately.
