Dennis Bergkamp voted best Dutch international of last 25 years
A fan group of the Netherlands international side has voted former Arsenal forward Dennis Bergkamp as its greatest player of the last 25 years.
Ons Oranje is a supporters' club which follows its country around the world in tournaments and friendlies. In the last quarter century, the club has seen the likes of Edwin van der Sar, Ruud Gullit, Ronald Koeman, and Clarence Seedorf don the famous shirt, as well as the tail-end of Marco van Basten's illustrious nine-year international career.
However, according to Holland's most hardened supporters, Bergkamp is the best of the bunch.
The Amsterdam native, who amassed 37 goals in 79 appearances for his country, is perhaps most fondly remembered by the Oranje supporters for his beautiful effort against Argentina in 1998.
