Brighton sets club record of 17 consecutive league matches without defeat
Let the good times roll at Falmer Stadium.
On Saturday, Brighton & Hove Albion defeated Milton Keynes Dons 2-1 to set a new club record of 17 consecutive league fixtures without a defeat, breaking the previous record set in 1930-31.
"It's a wonderful achievement and the record is something of which we are all very proud, because we know how difficult it is in the Championship," manager Chris Hughton said. "I am also proud of the manner in which we have done it.
"Generally we have not been a team that have swept other teams away and won comfortably. We have been a team that has had to work very hard for every result and that shows real character in the squad. It is a great achievement and the manner in which we have done it should make them even more proud as a team."
Brighton is undefeated through the first 16 matchdays of the Championship season, and hasn't lost in league play since its 2-0 defeat to Watford on April 25.
