Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge emerged as a substitute Sunday against Swansea City, his first appearance under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Sturridge replaced Christian Benteke in the 70th minute to much applause at Anfield.

The past couple months have proven difficult for the 26-year-old England international. Just as he seemed to recover from a nagging knee injury, Sturridge sustained a foot problem in the lead-up to Thursday's Europa League fixture against Bordeaux.
Klopp urged the oft-injured striker to tell the difference between "serious pain and only pain," and those words apparently struck a chord.
Sturridge hadn't played since the Oct. 4 draw with Everton - Brendan Rodgers' final match in charge of the Reds.
