Manchester United recalls Will Keane from Preston loan spell
Manchester United is struggling to get on the scoresheet, so it has turned to one of its academy graduates to put pressure on the front pairing of Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.
Striker Will Keane was on a season-long loan with Preston North End and isn't able to boast a particularly good goal-scoring record from his time at Deepdale, but Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has turned to the 22-year-old with his side winless in its last eight competitive outings.
"(It happened) in the last 24 hours or so. United felt they needed an extra body around them," Preston boss Simon Grayson told Sky Sports News HQ.
"Obviously it's disappointing to lose Will. In the last few weeks he's been finding his feet with us. But that is what happens when you get loan players."
Keane has just one Manchester United appearance under his belt, coming on as a late substitute in a 3-2 loss at Blackburn in 2011.
