The money from the Lewis Grabban sale is burning a hole in Alex Neil's pocket, and he is set to drop all £8 million of it on Wolfsburg's Timm Klose.
The Bundesliga outfit has accepted a bid of that amount from Norwich City and the centre-back is due to fly to Norfolk on Sunday for a medical and contract negotiations, sources tell ESPN FC's Peter O'Rourke.
Klose has again struggled to trouble the starting XI at Wolfsburg this term, making just seven starts behind preferred Brazilian duo Naldo and Dante. Norwich should provide the defender with a regular role in the lead-up to Switzerland's Euro 2016 campaign, which begins in June.
Ivo Pinto and Ben Godfrey have already been brought into Carrow Road in January, and rumours of long-term target Steven Naismith making a move to Norwich City endure as the club strives to retain its Premier League status.
