Chelsea's Costa could miss Arsenal match with bruised tibia
Chelsea may have to explore alternate attacking options with news that Diego Costa is set for a stint on the sidelines with a leg injury.
Scans confirmed the feisty Spanish forward sustained a bruised tibia following his exit from Saturday's draw with Everton.
The news is a relief to the club who feared a bone fracture, but the unknown timeline for his return could hinder Costa's chances of participating in an encounter with city rivals Arsenal on Jan. 24.
Costa's injury might expedite a move for Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato after being connected to a move to Stamford Bridge last week.

The injury might also impact Loic Remy's hopes of leaving the team, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph, as manager Guus Hiddink will likely use the French striker up front during Chelsea's visit to the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, the team's only other option in attack will be unavailable for the foreseeable future as Radamel Falcao deals with a "very serious" muscular injury.
Costa leads the club with seven Premier League goals in 18 appearances.
