Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud had a day to forget at the Emirates - one by virtue of his own error, the other by association.
The big German defender was shown a straight red card in the opening half Sunday, and as a result, Arsene Wenger made the (unpopular) decision to take Giroud off the pitch and restructure his formation.

After a pair of early showers, the duo reemerged from the dressing room looking dapper, though entirely crestfallen.
