Crewe Alexandra has added Southampton's Ryan Seager to its attacking ranks as it looks to pull itself adrift of the League One relegation places.
Seager will stay at Gresty Road on a one-month loan, looking to help Crewe bridge the seven-point gap behind Shrewsbury Town, who sits just above the drop zone in 20th.
The 19-year-old has signed in time to be eligible to play in Saturday's tough trip to Millwall, and the club hopes he can be a threat up front, as only Bradford City has scored less than the Railwaymen in the third tier this season.
Seager has made just two appearances for parent club Southampton, with his debut coming in an FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Crystal Palace a year ago.
