VIDEO: TV presenter hands Man of the Match award to wrong player

A Sky Sports television presenter was left red-faced Sunday when he handed out the Man of the Match award to the wrong player following the 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Chelsea.

Sky Sports reporter Geoff Shreeves asked Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata to deliver the award to his teammate Jesse Lingard. But there was one small problem: Mata was the winner.

Earlier in the day, the classy Spanish international received praise on social media after the match when he stuck around and congratulated every one of his former Chelsea teammates as they headed towards the tunnel.

His actions were in stark contrast with the outburst that Chelsea forward Diego Costa put on during the contest when he went ballistic at a linesman:
