Europa League semi-final draw: Arsenal, Atletico Madrid set for rare meeting
The Europa League semi-final draw featured a match-up between a pair of clubs accustomed to competing in the Champions League, as Arsenal and Atletico Madrid get set to clash.
The pairing will see the two European powerhouses meet in a competitive fixture for the first time later this month at the Emirates Stadium.
The first leg will take place April 26 in north London, before the teams meet in the Spanish capital on May 3 at the Wanda Metropolitano.
In the other semi-final, Marseille will compete in its first major European semi-final since 2004 when the French side takes on Red Bull Salzburg. The Austrian side overcame Lazio in the quarter-finals with a narrow 6-5 aggregate triumph, while Marseille is coming off of a dominant second-leg performance in which they beat RB Leipzig 5-2 to advance with a 5-3 aggregate win.
