Almeria coach Rubi said he was leaving the Spanish club at the end of his contract this summer after helping them earn La Liga survival on Sunday, the final day of the season.
The Andalucian side drew 3-3 at Espanyol with an 87th-minute equaliser and the point helped them stay up, with Real Valladolid relegated.
"I wanted to make it public that we are ending our cycle (here), we will not continue," Rubi told reporters.
"We are grateful. We have achieved the objectives, including survival, sporting growth and development of players... I'm choosing this moment because I don't want to waste the club's time."
Rubi was appointed in 2021, helping the club reach La Liga as second division champions.
