Germany boss Joachim Low went digging for some inspiration in attack, and a change in personnel paid immediate dividends Tuesday.
Inserted into the starting lineup for Julian Draxler, striker Mario Gomez netted his first goal of the competition in the 29th minute against Northern Ireland, and in the process closed the gap to Jurgen Klinsmann's German record of five goals in the European Championships.
