Ronaldo surpasses Shearer for 2nd on all-time scoring list at Euros

Sleep with one eye open, Michel Platini. Cristiano Ronaldo is coming.
After scoring his seventh career goal at the European Championships, and in the process becoming the first player ever to find the net at four separate editions of the tournament, he closed in on another historic mark.

With an emphatic header in the 62nd minute, Ronaldo moved past Alan Shearer and to within one tally of Platini's all-time tournament record of nine goals.
The 31-year-old is willing his team to the knockout stages, one spectacular moment at a time.
