Football world critiques David Guetta's weak closing ceremony
Once again, viewers of the European Championship were greeted to the ungainly gait of countryman David Guetta, making his way behind some decks to play other artists' songs.
It was for Sunday's closing ceremony ahead of Euro 2016's final between host France and Portugal and, unsurprisingly, the keyboard warriors of Twitter were out in their masses to offer their critiques.
It began with an accordion rendition of The White Stripes' hit, "Seven Nation Army":
If Will Griggs isn't part of this #Euro2016Final opening ceremony, a missed trick ...

White Stripes absolutely made a fortune off this tournament.

(To me, will always be soundtrack of events in Germany a decade ago)
So nice of the French to include in the ceremony the tune Italians used to celebrate the 2006 victory against them.

Where's Pitbull?

Rather than Pitbull, the local DJ took centre stage:

Here comes David Guetta. The only man to have worse tournament than Raheem Sterling. #Euro2016Final

Guetta on now, what we're all here for. He's literally just said his own name a few times so far.

Guetta: Ibiza was cool in the 90s, mate.

Cosing ceremony is an accordian, a brass band and string section playing Seven Nation Army. And David Guetta on the decks. Not a classic.

People are playing classical instruments, Guetta is fiddling with his knobs, people mill around the pitch. It's all a bit confusing really.

But, before the anthems began, the ceremony ended rather nicely:
