Madrid - Spain left-back Jordi Alba has returned to Barcelona after picking up a hamstring injury in the European champions' 1-0 win over Ukraine on Friday.

Alba had to be replaced by Bayern Munich's Juan Bernat 12 minutes from time and will miss Spain's friendly in Amsterdam against the Netherlands on Tuesday.

"Tests performed by the FC Barcelona Medical Services on Saturday morning has revealed that Jordi Alba has a grade 1 injury to the adductor muscle in his right leg," the club said in a statement

"This hamstring injury means he’ll be out of action for approximately ten days."

The injury will be of serious concern for Barcelona who are attempting to win the treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League for only the second time in the club's history.

Barcelona face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on April 15.
