Eduardo Vargas is on his way to Mexico after Tigres UANL announced that the Chile international has joined the club from Hoffenheim.
The defending Liga MX champion finalised the deal, reportedly worth $6 million, a day after sporting director Miguel Angel Garza confirmed the club was considering a move for the 27-year-old.
His arrival coincides with Andy Delort's departure as the French forward was sold to Toulouse after failing to impress during his first season in Mexico.
There's no word yet on whether Vargas will feature during Sunday's league encounter with Chiapas.
Vargas, who helped Chile capture its second straight Copa America title last summer, was held goalless during five appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
