Hirving Lozano's father confirms approach from Barcelona
That didn't take long.
Hirving Lozano, widely tipped to be a breakout player at the World Cup, has already been approached by Spanish giant Barcelona, according to the winger's father.
Lozano, nicknamed "Chucky," scored the only goal in Mexico's shock Group F victory over Germany last Sunday, and entered the tournament off the back of a debut season in Europe where he tallied 17 league goals and assisted eight times often when manning the flanks for PSV Eindhoven.

"There's been an approach but there's nothing clear at the moment," Jesus Lozano said in an interview with ESPN, as translated by ESPN FC's Sam Marsden, when pressed on Barcelona's reported interest.
"I think we'll see what the reality of things is after the World Cup, if he stays with PSV or if he goes to another team."

The 22-year-old has also been rumoured with a move to Everton, which is now entrusting Marcel Brands, a former executive of PSV, with plenty of responsibility in the transfer market in his new role as director of football. However, further stellar performances from Lozano at the World Cup could spark a bidding war.
Barcelona's want to strengthen its attacking options has been well documented. Paco Alcacer may be sold after two years in Catalonia, and there were incessant links to Antoine Griezmann's signature until he pledged his future to Atletico Madrid.
