Verstappen dominates Mexican GP, sets record for most wins in season
Max Verstappen had absolutely no trouble in Mexico City, as he cruised to yet another victory in the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix.
It's Verstappen's fourth consecutive win and 16th checkered flag of this season, breaking his own Formula 1 record, which he set last year.
Verstappen finished over 13 seconds ahead of second-place Lewis Hamilton, while pole-sitter Charles Leclerc took the final podium spot. Carlos Sainz Jr. and Lando Norris, who started the race in 17th position, rounded out the top five.

The race was brought to a halt on Lap 35 after Kevin Magnussen's hard crash into the barriers forced a red flag. A lengthy delay followed as workers fixed the safety barriers before the race resumed with a standing start.
Magnussen was able to walk away from the wreck. Haas Racing later said that he was under observation in the medical center but was doing OK, according to Racer's Chris Medland.
The race ended on a sour note for Mexico native Sergio Perez, whose opening-lap collision with Leclerc forced his early retirement. Stewards investigated Leclerc for unsafe driving but didn't penalize him.
