Lando Norris: Second podium of 2024
Norris finished second in the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Norris enjoyed a fast weekend, as he took the pole for the Sprint race and landed on the second row to begin the grand prix. He benefitted from some good luck by managing to make his lone pit stop under a safety car, but he also showed impressive pace in his hard tires while Ferrari struggled to get up to speed. At the end of the race, Norris was also able to hold off Red Bull's Sergio Perez to tally his second podium finish of the season. It was an excellent weekend and perhaps a sign of a step forward for McLaren, as the team expected to struggle with the slow corners of the Shanghai Circuit.
