Nico Hulkenberg: Monaco Penalty
Haas drivers Kevin Magnussen and Hulkenberg have been disqualified from the results of qualifying for the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix after the stewards discovered an irregularity with the opening of the drag reduction system (DRS) on the rear wings of their VF-24s, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The cars of both Hulkenberg and Magnussen would fail technical inspection for nonconforming rear wings. The Stewards would agree that they were in violation of the rules and Hulkenberg will forfeit his 12th-place starting spot on the grid. He'll now start from the rear of the field as a result of the qualifying disqualification.
