Pierre Gasly: Early Retirement from British GP

Gasly suffered a gearbox malfunction and retired early finishing 20th in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Analysis:

The Alpine veteran saw a four-race points streak come to an end with an unfortunate mechanical failure Sunday at the Silverstone Circuit. Gasly lined up 19th on the starting grid but brought his machine to the garage during lap 1. HIs car had a terminal gearbox issue flare up on the formation lap and the team brought him to pit road almost immediately. The DNF was a disappointing end to Gasly's grand prix and he'll look to rebound back to the points next round in Hungary.
