Lewis Hamilton: Third podium finish of 2024
Hamilton finished third at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at Hungaroring on Sunday.
Analysis:
Hamilton finished with his third podium of the season, all of which have come in the last four races as Mercedes continues to show improved pace. That finish came despite starting fifth on the grid, as he managed to pass Lando Norris on the opening turn of the race. While his Mercedes wasn't quick enough to keep pace with the McLaren for long, Hamilton and his team executed a strong undercut to outpace Max Verstappen for third place He and Verstappen also collided late in the race, but stewards decided after the grand prix that neither driver would be penalized.
