Max Verstappen: Wins Belgian GP Pole
Verstappen set the fastest time in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix, but the Dutchman will start from P11 due to a 10-place grid penalty for making a power unit change, meaning that Charles Leclerc will inherit pole position, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
Wet track conditions during qualifying would make things a bit interesting. Verstappen would advance into Q3 and put down the best marker of the session with a lap of 1:53.159 of the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. He would beat out Leclerc by seven-tenths to claim pole position for the Belgian GP. However, the Red Bull Racing star will serve a 10-place grid penalty for exceeding the power unit limits prior to this weekend. Verstappen will start P11 for Sunday's grand prix. Leclerc will start from pole as a result.
