Zhou Guanyu: Early retirement in Belgium

Guanyu was forced to retire with an apparent electrical issue from the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.

Analysis:

Guanyu qualified 19th on the grid in wet conditions and was 1.5 seconds away from reaching Q2. He showed some promise on hard tires to begin the race and was likely hoping for a long initial stint. However, he ran into an apparent electrical issue on Lap 3. After the team failed in their attempt to fix the issue remotely, he was forced to retire from the race three laps later.
