Pierre Gasly: Overcomes Grid Penalty at Baku
Gasly finished 12th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Gasly's qualifying penalty would put him starting 18th on the grid Sunday in Baku. The Alpine veteran would make the most of a hectic lap 1 and jump three spots to P15. Galy would run a mammoth 50 laps on a single set of hard tyres to claw his way up the running order. The gambit would pretty much pay off and he would add two spots upon the Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz retirements. Gasly would earn a respectable 12th-place in Azerbaijan.
