Fernando Alonso: Excellent finish in Azerbaijan GP
Alonso finished sixth in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Alonso came into the race down on Aston Martin's recent form, but he turned things around in Azerbaijan. He qualified in a familiar range, landing him eighth on the grid to begin the race. Alonso was challenged by Franco Colapinto at the start of the race, but he successfully held off the rookie and then got some breathing room from the rest of the midfield. Though the Aston Martin didn't have enough to challenge the top teams on the grid, this did mark Alonso's best finish since the Canadian Grand Prix.
