Charles Leclerc: Leads FP1 in Singapore

Leclerc set the pace during first practice ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, with the Ferrari driver going fastest from McLaren's Lando Norris by only seven hundredths of a second, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

This opening session on the Singapore street course would see good weather and Lando Norris set the early pace with a lap of 1:31.839. Once teams bolted on soft tyres for mock qualifying runs, it would be Leclerc replacing Norris atop the time sheets with a lap of 1:31.763, just edging the McLaren star. Leclerc will look to build on this early pace in FP2 later Friday evening.
