Lando Norris: Fast FP2 on Marina Bay Circuit

McLaren driver Norris led the way from Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc during Friday's second practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix, with the action coming to an end when George Russell's Mercedes hit the wall late on, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

The opening phase of this late evening session would see teams mainly try out medium and hard tyres for some data collection since the conditions should mirror Sunday's grand prix. About 20 minutes in teams would begin to switch over to soft rubber and Norris would post a day's best lap of 1:30.727. He would edge Leclerc by just half a tenth. Action would come to an end as Russell would crash late in the session, bringing out the red flag.
