Max Verstappen: Third at Circuit of the Americas
Verstappen finished third in the United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The Red Bull Racing star would start on the outside pole and attempt to beat Lando Norris into turn 1 after the lights out. He would perform that feat but also be passed himself by a very aggressive Charles Leclerc who would vault past on the exit of turn 1. Verstappen would spend the first half of the grand prix in P2, but would be undercut by Carlos Sainz during mid-race pit stops and slip to P3. A brilliant battle between Verstappen and Norris would highlight the end of the day, but Verstappen would hang onto a well-earned third-place finish. It was his 12th podium of the season.
