Esteban Ocon: Pit Lane Start in Mexico
Ocon finished 13th in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
Ocon had struggles with pace in pole qualifying and the team opted to change some power unit elements in his Alpine. That would put the veteran driver on pit road for the start of the Mexico GP. Ocon would run an extra long opening stint to lap 48 for his only pit stop. That would allow him to climb to P13 in the field. The strategy paid off as Ocon would hang onto that track position gained and promote one spot late past Valtteri Bottas for a respectable 13th-place finish.
