Lando Norris: Wins Sao Paulo Sprint

Norris has taken victory in the Sprint at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, with McLaren opting to switch their drivers two laps from the finish which allowed the Briton to lead team mate Oscar Piastri in a one-two result, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris would get off well from the lights out and soon separate themselves from the field. While battles raged behind the McLaren pair for the final podium spot, the two McLaren drivers would increase their lead. In the closing laps and just before the final caution/safety car of the Sprint, team orders would have Piastri yield the lead to Norris. The move gave him the victory in the Sprint and the valuable 8 points for the championship chase.
