Pierre Gasly: Double Podium for Alpine
Gasly finished third in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Analysis:
The wet conditions made for a treacherous grand prix in Sao Paulo. Gasly would master the wet and stay out of the major incidents to make a great drive forward in Brazil. The veteran Alpine racer would come from 13th on the starting grid to grab P3 just prior to the lap 32 red flag for the Franco Colapinto crash. The stoppage would allow Gasly to hang onto all that track position gained and entrench himself in P3 down the stretch. He would hold off a hard-charging George Russell in the closing laps to grab his first podium of the season and fifth podium finish of Gasly's career.
