Pierre Gasly: Mechanical Failure
Gasly suffered a mechanical failure and finished 20th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Analysis:
Gasly had hoped to follow up on his Sao Paulo podium and qualified extremely well at Las Vegas. The veteran Alpine driver lined up third on the starting grid. Gasly would surrender some spots early and drop to P5 by lap 4. His hopes to score points under the Las Vegas lights would be dashed as his car let out a puff of smoke and went powerless on lap 15. Gasly would return to his pit box and the team would roll the wounded Alpine into it's garage stall for a disappointing mechanical retirement. He'll look to bounce back next round in Qatar.
