Kevin Magnussen: One-Stop Strategy
Magnussen finished 12th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Analysis:
The Haas F1 veteran returned to action after missing the last round in Brazil with an illness. Magnussen would start P12 on the grid and employ a one-stop pit strategy in hopes of climbing into the points. He was the only driver to attempt the one-stop grand prix and pitted on lap 17 for hard tyres and a very long closing stint. The ploy didn't allow Magnussen to move forward but he would hang onto track position. A late-race pass of Esteban Ocon would give him a respectable P12 effort in Vegas.
