Esteban Ocon: Disappointing Vegas Grand Prix
Ocon finished 17th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Analysis:
Hoping to follow up on his podium in Brazil, Ocon would run into problems under the lights of Las Vegas. After starting P11 on the grid and hopes of scoring points, those hopes would soon fade. The Alpine veteran would use up his tyres in the opening stint and pit exit into 19th-place after his lap 12 pit stop. From there he'd be mired deep in the field and engaged in backend battles, one drawing contact with Liam Lawson. A late pit stop for soft tyres and attempt at fastest lap would go awry and Ocon would be saddled with a disappointing P17 finish.
