Fernando Alonso: Finishes 11th in Vegas
Alonso finished 11th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Aston Martin continued to lack overall pace, which was on display during qualifying when Alonso was eliminated in Q1 and began 16th on the grid. He started his race on soft tires in the hopes of catching a safety car. While that didn't pan out, he ran two long stints on hard tires and was passed by Sergio Perez on the closing laps to miss out on a points finish. Alonso has now failed to secure points in four straight races.
