Lando Norris: Wins Sprint Pole in Qatar
Norris has surged to pole position for the Sprint at the Qatar Grand Prix, with the Briton topping every segment of a busy Sprint Qualifying session, while George Russell disrupted what looked to be a McLaren front row lockout by going second quickest, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
The McLaen star showed great pace in both SQ1 and SQ2 and easily advanced into SQ3. Norris would eventually produce a lap of 1:21.012 and hold off a late challenge from George Russell to capture pole position for Saturday's Sprint at the Lusail Circuit. He will start P1 and look to grab the win and valuable points in the constructor's championship chase.
