Kevin Magnussen: Overcomes Contact to Score Points

Magnussen finished ninth in the Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail Circuit on Sunday evening.

Analysis:

The Haas F1 veteran would line up 10th on the starting grid after a strong qualifying effort on Saturday. Magnussen would lose a spot early but eventually climb to P6 by his opening pit stop during the caution period. During one of the restarts Alex Albon would make contact with Magnussen forcing him off course. The Thai driver would be slapped with a 10-second penalty for the collision and Magnussen would have to overcome the incident. He would fall back to P11 but use the final laps to race his way back inside the points and a strong ninth-place finish.
