Carlos Sainz Jr: Podium in Final Start with Ferrari
Sainz finished second in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail Circuit on Sunday evening.
Analysis:
The veteran driver would start third on the grid after a strong qualifying effort at Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Making his last start with Ferrari, Sainz would get a break when two of the top drivers would make contact on lap 1. Both Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri would spin and that would allow Sainz clear access to second-place. He would settle in there and run a long opening stint to anchor him in that position. Sainz would keep leader Lando Norris within sight in the closing laps but would have to settle for the impressive runner-up finish in his last start at Ferrari.
