Valtteri Bottas: Shaky final outing with Sauber
Bottas retired from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 race at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Bottas had a brilliant start to the weekend and reached Q3 for the second time in the last four races. However, things went downhill quickly as he had a slow launch and got caught behind a pack of drivers outside of the points. In an effort to keep his position several laps later, he collided with Kevin Magnussen and sustained damage that forced him to retire from the race. It was a disappointing end to a poor season for Bottas, and he is likely to find himself off the grid in 2025 after not being retained by Kick Sauber.
