Carlos Sainz Jr.: Fastest in Day 2 Test
Sainz set the pace on the second day of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, with the Williams driver also recording the highest lap count of 127 after taking part in both of Thursday's sessions, Formula1.com reports.
Analysis:
Sainz would set the early marker in this afternoon session of day 2 and would stick with it for the full session to make the top of the timing sheets. The Williams veteran would eventually turn in a lap of 1:29.438 that was a bit faster than Lewis Hamilton's morning session for the fastest lap of day 2. Sainz turned in a mammoth 126 laps as he continues to get a feel for his new car and race team.
