Nico Hulkenberg: Points in Kick Sauber debut

Hulkenberg finished seventh in the Australian Grand Prix F1 race at Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday.

Analysis:

Sauber showed improved form relative to testing, though Hulkenberg couldn't initially take advantage. He was knocked out in Q1 and began 17th on the grid and remained well off the pace in the first half of the race. However, six cars were ultimately forced to retire, which pushed Hulkenberg up the field. While he deserves credit for the result in tough conditions, this points haul isn't likely to replicate itself in future race weekends.
