Jack Doohan: Crash and DNF in Australia
Doohan crashed and finished 19th in the Australian Grand Prix F1 race at Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Doohan would start 14th on the grid after a reasonable qualifying effort for the youngster. However, the challenging and wet conditions would victimize Doohan in the early laps. The Alpine driver would get tyres off into the grass exiting turn 5 and upset the car, spinning into the barriers. The heavy crash would end Doohan's day on lap 1 and he would be credited with a disappointing 19th-place finish. He'll look to rebound next round out in Shanghai.
