Max Verstappen: Impressive showing in China
Verstappen finished fourth in the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shangai International Circuit on Sunday.
Analysis:
Verstappen no longer enjoys the same clear car advantage that he has in recent seasons, but he still came away from the Chinese Grand Prix with a good haul of points. That began with a third-place finish in the sprint race and was followed up with a patient and impressive showing in the grand prix. Verstappen appeared to be well off the pace for most of the day, but he consistently fed in strong lap times for the final third of the race. That culminated with him passing Charles Leclerc around the outside of Turn 3 in the waning laps. Verstappen should remain in contention for a podium finish heading into the Japanese Grand Prix.
